On 09.09.2025, while on duty as a police officer in Istanbul, I was involved in a traffic accident in which my arm and leg were broken. I underwent surgeries due to these fractures and I am still unable to get out of bed. I submitted a compensation claim under my Allianz traffic insurance (Policy No: 1021062370999). Even though I have no issues regarding my payments or policy, the lawyers of Allianz offered me a very low and unfair compensation amount. During this process, my lawyer held direct meetings with Allianz’s lawyers, but no reasonable solution was provided. I don’t know if they are relying on inflation by dragging the case into a lawsuit. As a public officer injured while on duty, being treated this way by the insurance company is truly wrong and upsetting. It is unacceptable that Allianz, a global company earning millions from the citizens of this country, fails to support an insured citizen who trusted them, became disabled, and is now suffering. This is the first time I have encountered such a situation. If my grievance is not resolved, I will no longer purchase any insurance or motor policies from Allianz.
