Allianz Denial of Legitimate Surgery Claim
I am writing this complaint to bring attention to the unethical and obstructive behavior of Allianz Insurance regarding my recent urgent surgery. I have been diagnosed with serious gallbladder issues, including multiple polyps and wall thickening. According to the attending internal medicine doctor, my gallbladder has become “like leather” and must be removed immediately. I have received a surgery appointment for this purpose, and the condition is clearly unrelated to any previous medical issues. Despite this, Allianz is attempting to avoid covering the cost of this medically necessary surgery, which they are obligated to do under my policy. They are now requesting outdated documents from hospitals I visited years ago, which are not only irrelevant but also nearly impossible to obtain. This is not the first time Allianz has tried to deny rightful claims by creating bureaucratic obstacles. When I initially applied for insurance, I was transparent about a prior respiratory issue. Allianz requested and received my chest CT scans and explicitly excluded lungs and liver from my coverage based on that data. However, I have never had any diagnosis or treatment related to my gallbladder or digestive system prior to this incident. My only past issue was minor indigestion, treated with routine medication. Now that I urgently need gallbladder surgery, Allianz is exploiting loopholes to avoid payment, even though the affected organ was never excluded and there is no pre-existing diagnosis. This practice amounts to fraud and bad-faith insurance tactics. I have already requested that all of my policies with Allianz be cancelled, and I am submitting this complaint publicly through Evolviye and other platforms to warn others. Allianz must be held accountable for this unethical behavior.
