Allegiant Air Customer Service Arrogance
Yesterday, I arrived at Chicago O'Hare (ORD) for my Allegiant Air flight to Huntsville (HSV), with a layover in Las Vegas (LAS), 1 hour and 20 minutes before departure. Despite arriving early to ease the check-in process, I encountered issues. Since my carry-on was slightly oversized, I attempted to check it at the last minute. However, when I reached the check-in area, the attendant was absent. After seeking assistance from security, the attendant finally arrived after about 15 minutes, rudely asking for my request. I handed over my bag and hurried to the boarding gate, only to find it closed. They informed me it had closed just 2 minutes prior, and the plane had already departed with my luggage. I explained to customer service that missing the flight was due to the airline staff's absence, and requested a complimentary ticket, but they refused. After a brief 5-minute conversation, the representative abruptly hung up. Their customer service is truly abysmal.
