I Deposited Cash at an ATM but It Never Reached My Account
On June 27, 2025, I deposited ₺6,000 into my own account at an Akbank ATM in Afşin, Kahramanmaraş. The ATM counted the money, but then an error occurred, and a message appeared saying, “We are currently unable to proceed with your transaction.” I immediately called customer service and opened a report. However, the money has still not been deposited into my account. The customer service representative told me it would be credited within 3 business days, but it has now been 7 days and still nothing. I’ve done some research and learned that I have the right to file a complaint with the Banks Association of Turkey. If the money is not credited by today, I plan to file a complaint tomorrow. I also have a loan with the same bank, and today is the payment due date—but my account doesn’t have enough balance because of this issue. If I cannot make the payment due to a problem caused by the bank, I will file a lawsuit. It’s unacceptable for such a major bank to create this kind of issue. Please resolve this problem immediately and end my grievance.
