ATM Took My Deposit - I Still Haven’t Received a Refund After 16 Days
On 16/06/2025, I deposited ₺4,300 into an Akbank ATM in Antalya. I received a warning saying, "We are currently experiencing a problem and cannot proceed with your transaction," and the money got stuck inside the ATM, which then went out of service. I immediately called Akbank customer service and reported the issue. They opened a report and told me my money would be deposited into my account after an investigation within 4 business days. When it was delayed, I called again and was told I had been misinformed and that ATM money-jam investigations actually take 14 days. They offered to open a new report and delete the old one, which I accepted, and they claimed to send an urgent follow-up message. However, weeks passed, and despite calling multiple times, I was only told to wait and that another urgency message was sent. Today is 02/07/2025, and once again, I spoke to Akbank customer service and got no results. I couldn’t make payments I owed and faced late payment penalties. I was told that authorized personnel visit ATMs every evening for cash counting. I don’t even know if the ATM is still out of order. If it hasn't been fixed, many Akbank customers are likely affected. If it has been repaired and counted, why has it been 16 days and I still haven’t received my money? I demand that the necessary actions be taken and that my grievance be resolved.
