Akbank Still Shows Legal Follow up Despite My Full Payment
Due to my debt on the Akbank Axess credit card, I had previously entered legal follow-up. I fully paid the outstanding amount (around ₺4,000) on 16/01/2023, which concluded the enforcement of the file, and a letter was sent to my workplace to lift the wage garnishment. However, despite a long time having passed, I noticed in the credit risk report I obtained from Findeks on 23/07/2025 and 24/07/2025 that I was still listed under legal follow-up. I first tried to contact Akbank customer service to resolve the issue, but I couldn’t reach anyone. Then I visited the Ankara Akbank branch, explained the situation, and provided the payment receipt. However, the branch staff told me they weren’t authorized to handle this and couldn’t process anything. They redirected me to the law office, which in turn sent me back to the bank. In short, I’ve been passed back and forth between the bank and the legal office with no resolution, leaving me helpless. Although I submitted all documents proving the payment of the debt, no authorized party took responsibility or initiated the necessary update to remove the legal follow-up status. As a result, I’ve suffered both personally and in terms of my credit score and financial reputation. I urgently request a resolution to this matter—specifically, the correction of my status in the risk report and the update of my credit history, since I’ve already paid the debt. If there are any delays or failures in resolving this issue, I would like to clearly state that I will take the necessary steps to exercise my legal rights.
I thank the bank's lawyer for resolving my grievance, and I thank the manager and all employees of Mia Law Office for their interest and attention.
I would like to thank the managers and employees of Mia Law Firm, the bank's attorney, for their attention and for resolving my grievance. I thank them once again.
