AJet Denies Boarding Despite Passenger Arriving On Time
On March 23, 2026, I completed all required procedures on time for my AJet flight scheduled to depart at 7:45 PM from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Erzurum Airport. I checked in my baggage and was present at the boarding gate at approximately 7:20 PM.
Despite this, when I arrived at the gate, I was informed that boarding had already been closed, and I was denied boarding even though I was physically at the gate on time. During this process, no final boarding call was announced to me, and no proper notification was provided.
Afterward, I discovered that many other passengers on the same flight, or similar flights around the same time, experienced the same issue. This strongly suggests that the problem was not due to individual delay but rather a systemic or operational failure.
Even though I arrived on time, I was denied boarding and suffered both financial and emotional damages. I was also unable to receive a full refund for my ticket and was only refunded the taxes. My reservation number is 3N4TYJ.
When I spoke with airport staff and AJet representatives, they stated that they could not take any action, and my issue remained unresolved.
I request a detailed investigation of this incident, a full refund of my ticket price or appropriate compensation or rebooking, and that necessary operational and communication improvements be implemented to prevent similar situations in the future.
Despite arriving at the gate for my Ajet flight on March 23, 2026, I was not allowed onto the plane, no information was provided, and the brand did not contact me. My refund request has still not been addressed, and this situation made me feel very bad.
