I Couldn’t Travel to Istanbul But Airbnb Still Refused to Refund My Reservation

I’m deeply disappointed with how Airbnb is treating its customers. I made a reservation in Istanbul, but due to official travel restrictions issued by the Istanbul Governor’s Office and widespread protests across the city, it was absolutely impossible for us to go. Our accommodation was also near the areas affected, making it even more unreasonable to expect us to travel.

Despite explaining all this, Airbnb has ignored our refund request and continues to send delaying, copy-paste responses that offer no real solution. It’s crystal clear we couldn’t make the trip, and yet they’re showing zero flexibility or understanding.

I didn’t expect this kind of treatment from a global platform. Airbnb is acting irresponsibly and failing to support customers during extraordinary circumstances. I demand a full refund (₺) for a trip that was clearly unfeasible. If this is how they treat their users, I’ll seriously reconsider ever using Airbnb again.
