How to File a Report After Being Assaulted by an Airbnb Host

On the night of November 1, 2025, I had a reservation through Airbnb at a property called “Luxurious Suite Taksim,” located at Şehit Muhtar Mahallesi, Altın Bakkal Sokak No:, Beyoğlu, Istanbul. My confirmation code is HMY2HEHBNY.
After checking in, the host, named E*, and another person whose name I don’t know, physically assaulted both me and my friend without any reason. They choked me, threatened to kill me, punched, kicked, and slapped us, and verbally insulted us. They threw our belongings outside and forced us out of the property using violence, not allowing us to retrieve our things. The assault continued outside, including verbal abuse and threats, lasting about an hour. I have since gone to the hospital and filed for a medical assault report. Some of our belongings remain in the property, as we were not allowed to take them.
I had booked the room for one person, but when I told the host that two of us would be staying, he demanded an extra ₺1,000 (around $24). To resolve the situation, I agreed to pay, and I made a total payment of $52 via credit card through Airbnb, plus an additional $23 transferred directly to the host’s IBAN account. Despite these payments, I suffered both financial loss and severe physical and psychological harm. I also suspect that my privacy was violated, as there may have been hidden cameras in the room.
I have already reported the incident to Airbnb and am currently waiting for a response. I request that the full amount I paid be refunded and that Airbnb take immediate action against this host and property. I also urge that necessary legal and safety measures be implemented to prevent similar incidents from happening to other guests.
