Airbnb Charged Me ₺82 Without Warning While Adding a Payment Method

13

While I was simply trying to add a payment method on Airbnb, the system charged me ₺82 — without any explanation, warning, or confirmation message. There was no prompt, no authorization request, and no reason given for the deduction. This is completely unacceptable.

I demand an immediate refund of the amount that was taken without my consent. I wasn’t booking a stay, confirming a reservation, or completing a transaction — I was just entering my card details, and suddenly money was withdrawn.

This kind of unauthorized charge shows a total lack of transparency, and after this experience, I can confidently say I will never use Airbnb again. I’ve also seen that many others have reported the exact same issue, so clearly this is not a one-time mistake.

Unless this is resolved, I plan to file formal complaints with every relevant consumer protection authority. Airbnb needs to explain why this charge occurred and refund the money immediately. No platform should be allowed to take money from users without consent.
