How to File a Complaint for Defective “Stain-Resistant” Zara Home Product
On July 2, 2025, I purchased a stain-resistant tablecloth from Zara Home. However, after the first use, food stains appeared on it. I washed it carefully, following the product’s cleaning instructions, but the stain did not come out. I submitted the item for inspection on August 13, 2025 (process code: 15675, product inspection code: 556425). I’ve remained in contact with the store staff, and my product is still waiting at the store.
Following the inspection, I was told that I should have “intervened immediately” to clean the stain. I found this explanation unreasonable — it’s unrealistic to expect someone to stop serving guests during a meal to remove a stain. Moreover, the tablecloth was marketed and sold as “stain-resistant,” yet it clearly does not meet that claim.
I request a refund or replacement for the product. So far, I have not received any positive response from the store or customer service. I kindly ask that my issue be resolved promptly and my consumer rights upheld.
