Yapi Kredi Bank Seized Entire Salary Despite Existing 1/4 Garnishment

I have been working in İzmir and receiving my salary through my salary account at Yapı Kredi Bank, Antalya Alanya Keykubat branch. Since February, a legal salary garnishment has been applied to my income and Halkbank has been making the deductions at the rate of 1/4 from my salary in accordance with the legal process. Despite this, Yapı Kredi Bank has most recently and in a completely unlawful manner seized my entire salary, disregarding my right to a minimum standard of living. Because the company I work for has an agreement with Yapı Kredi, my salary is deposited into my Yapı Kredi salary account, and at the same time my creditor bank is also Yapı Kredi. The bank has seized the full amount of my salary deposited into my account under the name of “takas mahsup/tasfiye”, without waiting for the enforcement order sequence and legal process. On 05.10.2026, the entire salary amount transferred to my salary account was withdrawn by Yapı Kredi via this method, and more than one transaction was carried out on the same date for different amounts. In addition to seizing my entire salary, Yapı Kredi has also restricted my mobile banking. In the mobile banking application, I see the message that I am not authorized to perform money transfers and bill payments, and therefore I am prevented from using my account for basic banking transactions. This situation makes it impossible for me to manage even the little money that might enter my account. Due to this practice, I was unable to pay my rent and my landlord is still waiting for the payment. My bills have not been paid and are at the point of being cut off. I am working in İzmir, while my spouse and two small children are at home, and our only source of income as a family has suddenly been taken away in full. We have been left unable to meet our basic needs, including food expenses for our children, and we are going through a very severe hardship. My clear request from Yapı Kredi is that the bank strictly complies with the legal process regarding enforcement and salary garnishment, respects the existing 1/4 salary garnishment being carried out by Halkbank, immediately stops seizing the entirety of my salary deposited into my account under the name of takas mahsup/tasfiye, and urgently refunds to my salary account the amounts withdrawn from my salary account on 05.10.2026. I am experiencing serious financial difficulties together with my family, my right to a minimum standard of living has been severely violated, and I request that this grievance be resolved as a matter of urgency and that the restrictions on my account in mobile banking be lifted.
