WorldTrips Travel Insurance Denied My Claim By Deceptive Practices
I travel a lot, and rely on good travel insurance, which is why I went with WorldTrips for their comprehensive packages. I got spooked about my health on a recent trip. Ended up in the ER, then had follow-up tests - a whole ordeal. Thinking I was covered, I filed a claim. The claims agent I spoke to (all the way in the US, mind you) acted like I was trying to pull a fast one. They kept asking for weird paperwork, stuff you can't exactly whip up in a developing country. After months of radio silence, they slapped a denial on my claim. Their excuse? Some nonsense about mismatched dates and a diagnosis that didn't matter. Their denial letter offered an appeal process that would drag on for another 15 days or more. Seems like their strategy is to deny everything and wait for folks to give up. I checked their Yelp reviews, and it's the same story for a bunch of other travelers.
