Volvo XC40 Engine Broke Down At 70,000 Km
My 2020 Volvo xc40 engine broke down at 70 thousand kilometers. It had a 2-year warranty. I had the 3rd year maintenance done in July 2023 at a service other than an authorized service. In June 2024, my vehicle gave an oil reduction warning. In the inspections, it was said that the engine was burning oil and needed to be changed. Since I did not have the 3rd year maintenance done at an authorized service, they did not accept the free change. The oil used in the 3rd year maintenance was the oil recommended by Volvo. A Volvo engine should not break down at 70 thousand kilometers
Progress
Warning for those who will buy a Volvo car Before the 3rd-year maintenance, my car gave an oil addition warning. I had explained the subsequent process in my previous complaint, but here I will talk about another issue. Volvo cars can consume between 1.2-1.6 liters of oil every 10,000 km. However, for gasoline cars, the service maintenance and oil change interval is 1 year or 30,000 km. In this case, when the oil warning is given at 10,000 km, should one go to the service? If so, will oil be added or will the entire oil be changed? Will an appointment and a separate fee be required for this?
