Viomi Robot Vacuum Still Under Warranty But Service Demands Repair Fee
I purchased a Viomi robot vacuum cleaner about 1.5 years ago, and it is currently at the service center under reference number 3974025. Despite the fact that it is still under warranty, I was previously forced to pay ₺1200 for a repair. Now, just months later, I am being told that the fan has failed and I must pay an additional ₺1600 to have it fixed. On top of that, if I refuse the repair, they are demanding a ₺250 inspection fee just to return the device.
The justification given is that the product has “dust damage,” which they claim places it outside warranty coverage. This is completely unreasonable—a vacuum cleaner is designed to handle dust, and my device has never been dropped or exposed to water. Excluding it from warranty on the grounds of dust is absurd.
Experiencing such expensive repair requests nearly every six months makes me question the reliability of the brand and its warranty policy. I expect my Viomi robot vacuum to be repaired under warranty without additional charges, or replaced if it cannot be fixed. Customers should not be penalized for normal usage of a product that is specifically built to deal with dust.
