I experienced a serious loss during a process I was directed to through the Trust Wallet browser. The person who directed me to this site was someone I communicated with via WhatsApp, who introduced himself as j* d***. He claimed that he worked with analysts employed by his aunt in the UK and said they were earning high profits, which convinced me to proceed. He then directed me through Trust Wallet to a website called paybiscrypto.vip, where I was encouraged to invest.
After making investments through this site, my wallet balance reached approximately 63,000 USDT. When I attempted to transfer this amount to my Cointr account, the site’s customer service told me that I needed to pay a “tax fee” of 4,360 USDT, after which my funds would be released. I became suspicious and conducted some research, so I did not make this payment and delayed the process. During this time, j* persistently messaged me on WhatsApp, insisting that I had to pay the tax. He even offered to help by suggesting we split the payment, saying, “You deposit 2,170 USDT, and I’ll deposit the rest to your tax address.” I did not trust this offer and refused, telling him, “Deposit the full amount into my Cointr account and I’ll transfer it from there.” After this response, j* completely cut off all communication with me.
For about one week, I have been unable to access this wallet, which contains approximately 63,000 USDT, and I cannot withdraw my funds. When I attempted withdrawals, individuals who contacted me through the app—claiming to be Trust Wallet customer service—continued to demand payments under different tax-related labels in order to process the withdrawal. I refused to make any of these payments and requested that my connection to the wallet on paybiscrypto.vip be terminated.
At this point, I am no longer seeking any profit. I am only asking for the safe return of my original invested capital and for Trust Wallet to properly investigate this situation involving redirection through its browser, fake customer service, and repeated tax payment demands, and to resolve the harm I have suffered.
