Apple Service Center Blocks iPhone 17 Replacement Despite Acknowledged Hardware Defect
After using my iPhone 17—which I purchased from the Mobilepoint İletişim store on N11—without any issues for about 40 days, a "SIM card not recognized" failure occurred. The phone completely stopped reading the SIM card, rendering the device unusable under normal conditions.
When the issue arose, I first contacted Apple Support. They conducted remote diagnostics and advised me to send the device to a service center. Consequently, I sent the phone to Troy Apple Authorized Service. Troy Apple Authorized Service stated that there was a hardware fault in the device and that it needed to be opened up and repaired. However, I explicitly stated that I would not accept opening and repairing a device that developed such a severe fault in such a short period, and demanded a replacement instead.
However, my primary conflict is with the service center. I requested that Troy Apple Authorized Service explicitly state in their report that the issue was a "factory defect" and include the phrase "device replacement required." Despite admitting that there is a hardware failure in the device, the service center claimed they could not add these statements to the report or write such an explanation. Because the report lacks a clear statement identifying it as a factory defect or recommending a replacement, my replacement process is blocked, causing me significant grievance.
I demand that Apple and Troy Apple Authorized Service clearly identify this hardware fault—which appeared shortly after purchase—as a manufacturing defect in the official report, explicitly state that "a replacement is required," and initiate a one-to-one replacement process for my iPhone 17. I request a prompt resolution to my hardship regarding both the product and the process. My order number on N11 is 255614924422.
