TEB Credit Card Data Leak Suspected After Purchase - Unauthorized Charges
I purchased a rechargeable tire inflator set from A101 using my TEB Bank Platinum credit card. On 21.11.2025, between 15:30 and 22:00, my card was charged twice for this purchase, each time for ₺1,000. After these transactions, individuals claiming to be calling on behalf of A101 attempted to withdraw first ₺1,750 and then ₺22,500 from my account as a site payment. I noticed these attempts and managed to block them. When I contacted TEB about what happened, I was only told that my card had been immediately closed; however, no explanation was given regarding how my personal and card information was shared or leaked, by whom, or under what circumstances. The fact that I made only one purchase from A101 and was then immediately contacted by people claiming to be from A101, combined with the attempted misuse of my card information, strongly suggests a serious failure on TEB’s part regarding data security and the protection of customer information. I request a detailed and written explanation from TEB regarding how my card information and other personal data were accessed by third parties, by whom, and at what stage. I want the two ₺1,000 charges to be reviewed and refunded if they were unjustly collected, all records related to this incident to be examined, and official confirmation that necessary security measures have been taken. Additionally, due to the inconvenience and loss of trust I experienced, I request that appropriate steps be taken to compensate my financial and emotional damages if responsibility is identified.
