Skechers Glide Step Sole Tapes Peeled Off, I Need to Exchange Them

I recently purchased a pair of Skechers Glide Step shoes from your store and noticed that the orange part on the sole was not actually paint or plastic, but rather tape. After wearing them a few times, I noticed that this tape started to peel off due to my heel rubbing against the ground. When I took it back into your store for an exchange, my request was denied as they claimed it wasn't caused by production error. I find this hard to believe as any shoe with taped parts will naturally start peeling when rubbed against surfaces such as pavement or concrete - which is exactly what happened in this case! As such, I am requesting an exchange for another equivalent product without any taped parts on its soles so that there won't be further issues like these again in future use.
