The deposit refund for the car we returned at Dubai Airport on December 18 was made on January 16, despite having sent multiple emails. As seen in the attachment, out of a 40,000 deposit, the amount refunded from the block was 27,993.80 TL. When I asked the reason, the response I received was that a cigarette and salik fee had been deducted. No smoking was done in the car, they just invoiced it and wrote 10,000 lira as smoking. I think the remaining part was for cleaning. When we returned the car, there were no cigarette butts, ashes, burns, or any trash inside. No smoking was done in the car. Their staff took the car flawlessly and didn't mention anything about it at that moment. There was no confirmation or documentation process regarding their claim of smoking. When it came to refunding the money, deductions that we couldn't make sense of were made. If you rent a car from Sixt abroad, you will be victimized. Their intention is clear from not accepting money in cash or by bank card, but unfortunately, we didn't understand it due to our good faith. If the car seat had been burned or if we had crashed the car, I'm sure less would have been deducted than for the cigarette smell. I am complaining about Sixt due to this baseless deduction made for cigarette smell. I will also use my legal rights to the fullest. If they are right, let them prove it. Lastly, the Sixt customer representative (when no money had been refunded yet) said I have made the necessary communications, they will refund the money, you should rate them, days have passed. They gave me an email address for Sixt Dubai, why? Because I have to deal with it. I recommend not rating until your complaint is resolved. I haven't rated the brand at all, but I see it has somehow become 4 stars. This is the second time I am entering the site. I am also complaining about this situation. If you say I have a lot of money, I won't follow up, I have full trust in the company, then go ahead and rent a car from Sixt. Everything is exactly as it seems.
