Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent Produces Disgusting Odor

Despite its similar price point to other well-known brands, I decided to try Seventh Generation dishwasher detergent. I usually run it on a long cycle after dinner to ensure the detergent dissolves completely and provides the best cleaning results. However, when I opened the dishwasher this morning to unload the dishes, I was disappointed to find that they weren't fully clean. Food residue remained on plates and glasses, and some sauces had left stubborn stains. Another major issue is the smell. Instead of a fresh, clean scent when I open the dishwasher door, there's an unpleasant odor. I'm disappointed that I have to switch back to a major brand, as I was hoping for a more eco-friendly and effective option.
