Sensodyne Toothpaste Shrinkflation - Size Cut Price Up

January 22 2:56 AM98

I am writing to raise a concern regarding what I see as excessive shrinkflation and price gouging with Sensodyne toothpaste sold at Costco in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. On January 6, 2026, I purchased a Sensodyne 5‑pack at Costco and noticed that the package size has been reduced by about 50%, while the price has increased by roughly 85%. I consider this combination of drastic shrinkage and sharp price increase to be an unfair practice toward consumers, especially when it appears to be driven purely by corporate gains rather than any transparent, justified cost increase. I have already contacted Costco Customer Feedback by email tonight, and this complaint is a direct follow‑up aimed at putting a clear spotlight on this issue specifically with Sensodyne. I also have the receipt and can provide the exact previous and current prices and sizes if needed. I request that Sensodyne address this excessive gouging, review the pricing and packaging strategy for these products sold at Costco, and provide a transparent explanation and corrective action so that consumers are not penalized through hidden shrinkflation combined with steep price hikes.
