Samsung S22 Battery Swelling - Common Defect Not Covered

57

I purchased two Samsung S22 model phones, and both developed battery swelling issues within about two years. The battery of the first device was replaced free of charge under warranty. However, the second device has recently started showing the same problem, and it no longer charges. I bought this second phone on November 8, 2023, from the authorized Samsung store. When I contacted the authorized service center, I was told that since the warranty had expired, the battery could only be replaced for a fee of ₺2,600. I know that this issue is not unique to me and that many other S22 users have experienced the same problem. Since this is a common defect not caused by user error, I request that the battery replacement be provided free of charge, even though the warranty has expired. I expect Samsung to resolve this issue and address my grievance.
