Royal Mail misdelivered my parcel to wrong address — what should I do?

If Royal Mail brought your package to the wrong address, you should first report it right away using the tracking number, delivery date, your correct address, and the "delivered to wrong address" support form on the Royal Mail website.

This starts a recovery request to the local delivery office, which might try to get the thing back from the wrong address.

You should also get in touch with the person who sent it right away because, by law, the delivery deal is with Royal Mail and the sender.

If the package can't be found, the sender has to either send a new one or give a refund, then file a settlement claim with Royal Mail.
