Rossmann Store Won’t Waive Charge After I Accidentally Broke Detergent

Today I made a purchase totaling about $92 at the Rossmann store in Ordu. While I was picking out a Domol laundry detergent from the shelf, the product accidentally slipped out of my hand, the cap broke, and some of the detergent spilled onto the floor.
I immediately informed the store staff about the situation. The incident was completely unintentional and accidental. I picked up another of the same product and continued with my shopping.
When I got to the checkout, I assumed the situation would be understood and that no additional charge would be requested for the damaged product, but there was no flexibility shown, and I did not receive the response I expected.
As a customer, I understand that I need to be more careful and that the company is not obligated to cover such incidents. Still, I thought that a large retail chain with many branches across the country might be more flexible in handling these kinds of accidental in-store incidents from a customer satisfaction perspective.
I have no financial demands from the company. I am sharing this only to relay my experience and provide feedback, and I want to express that I would expect a bit more understanding and solution-oriented handling of similar situations for customers.
Hello, We regret to inform you that we were unable to reach you using the phone number and email address you provided. To proceed with your case together, you can always contact us. Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely.
