My Cat Developed Serious Health Problems After Eating Purina Gourmet

For approximately one year, I regularly fed my cat Purina Gourmet wet and dry food because it was affordable. I served the dry food twice a day and the wet food approximately once a month. After using these products for some time, my cat first developed cystitis and later experienced heart problems. These health issues have now continued for approximately three years.
When I took my cat to the veterinarian, I was told that these health problems could be connected to the food he had been eating. My cat has undergone catheter treatment several times, suffered serious bladder damage, and also experienced a heart attack. So far, I have spent more than $631 on veterinary care and am still paying for ongoing treatment.
I still have cans and packaging from the Purina Gourmet Gold cat food, along with veterinary test results and treatment records. Although I am no longer actively using these products, the severe health problems my cat experienced after long-term use have caused me to lose confidence in this food and become seriously concerned about its safety.
According to my veterinarian, if the condition continues, my cat may eventually require a urinary “feminization” procedure known as perineal urethrostomy. This surgery would create an additional financial and emotional burden. I am therefore requesting compensation not only for the veterinary expenses I have already incurred but also for any surgery, additional treatment, and financial or emotional harm connected to this situation. I also want the appropriate authorities to inspect these products. I intend to file separate complaints with CİMER and the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I expect Purina to take this matter seriously and provide a clear, detailed, and satisfactory written response.
