I Paid $32 for a Repair That Didn't Fix My Poco X5 Pro's Sound Issue
I dropped off my Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro phone, which was out of warranty and had never been repaired before, at Evofone service center in Ankara Kızılay, with complaints about no sound coming from the earpiece and blurry camera images. During drop-off, I specifically pointed out the sound issue and asked multiple times whether this sound problem would be fixed; each time, I was told the fault would be resolved and that there was no problem with the check. I was charged $32 for this service.
After being informed that the phone was ready, I picked up the device, but the earpiece sound issue hadn't been fixed at all — the fault remained exactly as it was on the first day. Moreover, even though checking this fault is extremely simple, it was very clear that a proper check hadn't been done before handing the phone back. I had to take the phone back to the same service center again the next day.
This time, I was charged another $53 for the same fault, and I was told the phone would only be repaired if I paid this fee. I've been dealing with this issue for about 3 weeks now, have spoken with customer service multiple times, and explained the situation in detail, but they refuse to acknowledge that the sound issue wasn't resolved despite the fee charged in the first transaction. I find it completely unfair that I'm being asked to pay a second time for the same fault.
I am requesting that the second $53 fee, charged for a sound fault that wasn't fixed despite the initial $32 payment, be canceled, and that this unjust fee demand be dropped. I want this practice, which is unbefitting of a brand like Xiaomi and leaves the customer at a disadvantage, to be corrected urgently, and I want the sound fault on my device fixed without any additional charge.
