I Face Personality.co Hidden Subscription Charges and Request €79.90 Refund
I purchased a one-time personality test on the website https://personality.co/ for €1.95, believing it to be a single, non-recurring payment. At no point was I clearly informed that I was subscribing to any membership or recurring service, nor did I knowingly consent to such a subscription. Despite this, I have discovered two unauthorized charges of €39.95 each on my CaixaBank card, one in March 2026 (around 11–12 March 2026) and another in April 2026 (around 08–09 April 2026), for a total of €79.90. I did not use any additional services from Personality.co and did not authorize these recurring payments. I consider these charges misleading and unauthorized. Today I contacted Personality.co by email, requested the immediate cancellation of any subscription linked to my account, and demanded a full refund of the €79.90 that was charged without my informed consent. In response, the company has sent me a confirmation email stating that the subscription has been cancelled. I am attaching this confirmation as evidence. I have also blocked my card with CaixaBank and requested a new one so that no further charges can be made. I have seen online that many other users report having experienced the same kind of unexpected recurring charges by this company, which reinforces my concern about their practices. I request a full refund of the total amount of €79.90, written confirmation that the subscription remains cancelled, and an assurance that no further payments will be taken from my account in the future. I kindly ask that this situation be resolved as soon as possible and that my refund request be treated with priority, given that these charges were made without my clear and explicit consent.
