Pegasus Airlines Oversold Flight and Paid Seat Not Provided
I experienced serious inconvenience with my family on Pegasus Airlines flight PC2001, departing from Antalya at 07:35 on October 4, 2026. We purchased our tickets online, completed online check-in, and selected our seats. Before the flight, the staff informed us that the flight had been oversold. We were told that if we agreed to travel on the next flight, our fare for the current flight would be refunded and we would be able to travel on the next flight free of charge. We accepted this offer. However, after making us wait for approximately one hour, they put us back on the same flight. Despite this, I was not given the seat I had previously paid to select. I was seated at the very back of the aircraft, in a seat without a window, which was quite unsuitable for me. I also had my two children with me. The uncertainty we experienced and the seat change negatively affected our journey. I reported the situation to Pegasus. In the company's response, they only offered to refund the ₺519.99 I had paid for the seat I was unable to use. However, this amount is simply the cost of the seat I purchased but could not use. My complaint is not only about the refund of the seat fee; I want the entire inconvenience we experienced to be evaluated and appropriate compensation to be provided. I expect a clear and satisfactory explanation from Pegasus regarding what happened. I also request that my rights under the applicable regulations be evaluated and, if possible, that I be offered a free flight or reasonable equivalent compensation for the inconvenience we experienced. As passengers, we expect the service we purchased to be provided properly and do not want the inconvenience we experienced to be dismissed with only a refund. I request that the relevant department at Pegasus Airlines reconsider the matter and provide a solution that adequately addresses our grievance.
