Paytm Deducted My Payment But the Merchant Never Received It
Making a payment for an online shopping order on Paytm lately caused me an unpleasant problem. My account was immediately debited the payment, but the merchant never got it. When I contacted Paytm customer care, they merely sent me toward the merchant. Conversely, the merchant stated it was a payment gateway problem and that I check with my bank. My bank verified the payment was handled correctly, thus I was left caught in a circle of finger-pointing without direction. Paytm promised to offer a remedy or at least look at the matter, but their unhelpful approach has been letdown. This encounter makes me doubt the dependability of paying with Paytm.
