Payless Rental Car Lost My Personal Belongings
I rented a vehicle from the Payless branch at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Shortly after returning the car, I realized that I had accidentally left my eyeglasses inside the vehicle. I called the rental office within about 10 minutes, and the employee told me that they had found my glasses and placed them in a drawer.
However, when I went to the office to pick them up, I was suddenly told that the glasses were no longer there.
My eyeglasses are valuable to me both financially and personally. If they were not important, I would not have gone back to retrieve them. Despite the conflicting information, no one accepted responsibility or provided a clear explanation about what happened to my belongings.
In addition, even though I had returned the vehicle the previous day, I had still not received any refund that was due to me.
Because of the way this situation was handled, I find Payless's customer service to be extremely irresponsible. After this experience, I have no intention of renting from this company again. I request that Payless investigate what happened to my eyeglasses, provide me with a clear explanation, and resolve the issues related to my rental and refund.
