Payless Charged Me Despite Full Rental Car Insurance
I rented a Hyundai i20 from Payless at Istanbul Airport. Just 15 minutes after picking up the vehicle, and only about 5 km away from the airport, one of the tires blew out. I was left waiting in the rain for approximately 2.5 hours while trying to get assistance.
The company first instructed me to use the tire repair kit, but it did not solve the problem. A replacement vehicle was eventually delivered, but throughout the entire incident I experienced an indifferent and unhelpful attitude from the company's staff.
Even though I had purchased full insurance coverage, I was required to pay $128 in cash when I returned the vehicle. I was told the charge was for the tire and service costs, yet I was not provided with any invoice, receipt, or other official documentation to justify the payment. In addition, the vehicle had already undergone a damage inspection and a condition report had been prepared when I picked it up.
I request a full explanation of why I was charged despite having full insurance coverage, a copy of all documents related to this charge, and a full refund of the $128 I was required to pay.
