Opodo Refused to Refund My Unused Hotel Night After Major Problems
Between August 19–21, 2025, I booked a Deluxe room at Elementa Boutique Hotel Bodrum through Opodo and paid a total of €636 (Hotel Reference: WM--RG3TB5 / 23770181879). When I arrived at the hotel, the room I was given was absolutely not at the standard of a Deluxe room. The room was extremely small, had only a single-person wardrobe and shower area, the toilet space was cramped, and the balconies were connected to neighboring rooms, which completely affected privacy and comfort.
In addition, although the hotel was advertised as “Adults Only,” the environment was extremely noisy, and I could not sleep even at 4 AM because of loud noise and disturbances. The hotel staff constantly interrupted us by knocking on the door to either check the minibar or request payment for coffee we drank by the pool. In particular, the behavior of the hotel manager felt insincere, and it seemed they were only focused on satisfying foreign guests rather than treating all guests equally. I reported the excessive noise issue on the very first night, but no solution was offered, and the problem continued every day.
Because of all these issues, even though I had paid for three nights, I was forced to leave the hotel during the early morning hours of the second night. My reservation had been marked as non-refundable, but I could never have predicted such serious and basic problems before arrival.
I am requesting a refund of approximately €212 for the final unused night of my stay on August 21. The accommodation address is Dirmil, Tilkicik Cd. No: 50, 48990 Bodrum/Muğla, Türkiye. Although I reported my complaints to the hotel management, no real solution was provided, and my concerns were simply dismissed. I kindly request that my financial loss and overall inconvenience be properly resolved.
