Opel Zafira Life Stuck in Service for 45 Days With No Loaner Car
My Opel Zafira Life vehicle was delivered to Avek Opel Başakşehir Authorized Service Center due to an oil leak from the underside of the vehicle. The service center clearly informed me that the vehicle would remain in service for approximately 45 days and that no replacement vehicle would be provided during this period. While rejecting my request for a replacement vehicle, the authorized service claimed that my vehicle is commercial. However, my vehicle is registered as a passenger car, and I fulfill all tax obligations applicable to passenger vehicles. It is legally and practically unacceptable for a vehicle that is classified and taxed as a passenger car to be treated as a commercial vehicle when it comes to warranty and service rights. As clearly stated on Opel Turkey’s official website, a replacement vehicle must be provided for warranty repairs exceeding 24 hours. Despite this, the service advisor repeatedly denied this right and addressed me in a manner that exceeded the boundaries of respect. During this process, I submitted a written complaint via email to the authorized service center and also created an official complaint record through Opel Turkey’s customer complaint hotline. Despite all these efforts, my grievance has not been resolved. I demand that my right to a replacement vehicle arising from warranty coverage and applicable regulations be provided immediately; otherwise, I will pursue legal remedies and exercise my consumer rights. I also request that a formal investigation be conducted into the conduct of the relevant authorized service center.
Today I went to Başakşehir Avek Opel for a check-up to find out the condition of my car, and I kept repeatedly requesting a replacement vehicle, only to discover that my car was ready and I hadn't even received a single phone call informing me that it was ready. In addition, when I wanted to inspect it before taking delivery, the engine fault warning lit up as soon as I pressed the start button. As shown in the image I uploaded below, after repairing my car they said, "Okay, you can go." It was truly a funny and terrifying situation. The funniest part was that Avek Opel could not provide me with a replacement vehicle during this process, and Opel Turkey offered no solution at all. It was an outright disaster. Even Opel Turkey couldn't provide a replacement car, what a shame. Look closely at the image; I will not go to Avek Opel again, and from now on I will go to a different dealership.
