Consider these factors to ensure accurate measurements:
• Check your and the monitor's positioning. Rest your arm on a flat surface with the cuff snug but comfortable at heart level.
• Your Omron model's recommended measurement method must be followed. This includes not drinking caffeine or exercising before readings, sitting still for a few minutes, and not talking during measurements.
• Verify your arm cuff size. A properly fitted cuff is essential for accurate measurements.
• The monitor may malfunction, though this is rare.
• Omron recommends replacing blood pressure monitors every few years for accuracy. If you've followed all the steps and still get inconsistent readings, contact Omron customer support or replace the monitor.
