Netflix Chrome Causes External Monitor to Disconnect
I had an extremely poor experience using Netflix through Google Chrome on my Windows 11 laptop with an Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU. Even though my system is more than powerful enough to handle streaming, Netflix causes serious hardware-related issues. Whenever Netflix is open in Chrome, my external monitor randomly disconnects and becomes unusable. The connection cannot be restored unless I completely restart my computer. At the same time, my Bluetooth speaker also stops working while Netflix is running, and it does not reconnect until I reboot the system.
These problems occur only when I use Netflix in the browser. I do not experience the same issues during normal computer use or with other applications. As a result, Netflix has significantly disrupted my daily workflow and made watching content frustrating instead of enjoyable.
Because of these ongoing problems, I canceled my Netflix subscription. The experience became so unreliable that I would rather use other streaming platforms with occasional ads than continue dealing with these issues. I expect Netflix to investigate and fix these browser-related hardware compatibility problems so users can stream content without causing monitor or Bluetooth connection failures.
