MG HS Service Complaint Over Poor Communication and Unresolved Repairs

On July 16, 2026, I took my MG HS Luxury to the MG Herter authorized service center in Ankara for its 45,000-kilometer scheduled maintenance. In addition to the routine fluid service, I reported several issues with the vehicle. I explained that the steering wheel remained 3 to 5 degrees turned to the left even though the vehicle traveled straight, requested a wheel alignment, asked for a Pedal Commander installation, and reported that the parking sensors were activating randomly without any obstacles. After the maintenance was completed, I was informed that the wheel alignment and Pedal Commander installation had been forgotten. I was then given a new appointment for July 30, 2026, at 9:30 AM to complete those services.

I returned on the scheduled date and once again explained all of the same issues. I also asked the service team to inspect the malfunctioning parking sensors, the steering alignment problem, and the engine vibration and hesitation I was experiencing while the vehicle was idling. Around 3:30 PM, I learned—only because I personally asked—that my vehicle would have to remain at the service center for another day. No one had informed me of this throughout the day. I was left waiting until nearly the end of business hours, received no meaningful updates, and ultimately had to leave with my vehicle without any of the reported issues being repaired. To make matters worse, when I tried to explain the problems directly to the technician, I was told that he had other vehicles to work on. If that was the case, I cannot understand why I was given a 9:30 AM appointment in the first place.

What disappointed me even more was that the authorized MG service center handed me the business card of an independent wheel alignment shop and suggested that I could have the alignment performed there if I wished. I do not believe it is acceptable for an authorized service center to refer customers to an outside business for a mechanical issue that it should be capable of diagnosing and repairing itself. The lack of communication, transparency, and responsibility throughout this process has been extremely frustrating.

I am filing this complaint because of the unprofessional, unresponsive, and solution-free service I received from MG Herter Authorized Service in Ankara. I expect MG to investigate this matter, ensure that my vehicle's reported issues are properly diagnosed and repaired by an authorized service center, and improve its customer communication so that other owners do not experience the same level of inconvenience and disappointment.
