Metro Turizm Bus Did Not Arrive and Refund Was Denied
On 4 October 2026, I purchased a bus ticket via obilet.com for the 15:30 Konya–Kayseri Metro Turizm trip for approximately ₺1,050. Although my wife arrived at Konya Bus Terminal half an hour before departure, the bus did not show up at the scheduled time, and even by 17:30 there was still no bus in sight. Metro staff at Konya terminal kept telling her that the bus was in the city and would arrive in 5–10 minutes, repeatedly making her wait for at least 2 hours at the station as a woman travelling alone. During this period, when I requested a refund for the ticket, they stated that since I had bought the ticket through obilet.com, they could not process any transaction and did not provide any assistance. When I called customer service, I encountered only an automated system. Even though I clearly spelled out each letter of the PNR number, the system misread it and interpreted the seven-letter-one-digit PNR as if it were two letters and one digit, then prompted, "Press 1 if this is correct." Despite trying many times, I could not reach a live representative and no solution was provided at any stage. As a result, we were unable to travel with Metro Turizm at all. My wife was kept waiting at the bus terminal for hours and was clearly misled, and I was forced to purchase a new ticket from Aksaray Turizm at 17:30 so that she could return to Kayseri. Our time was completely wasted and we suffered financial loss due to the ticket we paid for but could not use. I request a full, non-deducted refund of the Metro Turizm ticket fee paid via obilet.com and a written response after a detailed investigation into this incident and the misleading and stalling behaviour of the bus terminal staff.
