DHgate Released Payment to Seller for Undelivered Order
"Friends, I'm sharing this for those who experience the same situation: my money was refunded months later. I had filed a spending dispute with Ziraat Bank. Meanwhile, the shipment was waiting at customs. When I called customs, I was told that China had not accepted the shipment and that it would be destroyed after a certain period. Still, I trusted that the bank would defend me because the PTT records clearly showed that I had not received it. After two months without any response, I called the bank to ask. I was told that because China did not accept it, the matter could go beyond the bank and I would need to file a lawsuit. However, if I hadn't been informed about the PTT issue, I wouldn't have known the outcome could be negative. I applied to the Consumer Arbitration Board. I shared the necessary receipt and PDF information. I stated that Ziraat Bank had not defended me properly. As a result, within just a few days, DHgate refunded my money. I learned that a spending dispute can be resolved within 3 to 6 months, but I don't know whether it was the bank or the Consumer Arbitration Board that made it happen. I am very pleased and happy that my country has the right to file complaints, petitions, and appeals and that they are protected. I thank my country's legal system very, very much. I thank the Consumer Arbitration Board a lot. I also extend my thanks to Ziraat Bank despite everything."
