Meditopia Charges Annual Fee Despite Showing “Free Trial”

I started a subscription in the Meditopia app that was clearly advertised as a 1-week free trial. Despite the app explicitly stating that the first week was free, without any warning or additional notice, a one-year subscription was activated directly, and approximately $31 USD was charged to my credit card on December 2. I did not receive any prior confirmation or clear disclosure regarding this charge.

As soon as I noticed the issue, I contacted Meditopia. I was informed that I had previously subscribed to an annual membership on October 1, 2025, and had used the trial period until October 8, 2025, and therefore the trial could not be used again and the subscription was activated immediately. I was also told that only Apple is authorized to handle refunds and cancellations and that they are bound by App Store policies, and I was only guided on how to cancel the subscription. However, the main issue is that the app again displayed “1-week free trial” to me without providing any clear warning or clarification.

I proceeded with this action based on the “1-week free trial” statement shown in the app, and as a result, I was charged for an annual paid subscription without proper disclosure. For this reason, I request a full refund of the approximately $31 USD annual subscription fee charged to my card on December 2.
