Turna.com System Glitch Charges Double for Failed Lufthansa Flight Booking
I wanted to buy a ticket through Turna.com for a Lufthansa flight from Athens to Munich scheduled for November 15, 2026. I attempted payment twice, and in both attempts, the system explicitly indicated that the payment failed and that the ticket was not created. Despite this, funds were withdrawn from two different credit cards.
Because the Turna.com screen stated that no ticket was created, I was forced to buy a second ticket through another channel to avoid risking my trip. Later, Turna.com stated that a ticket had actually been created on the second payment attempt and refunded only one of the payments, telling me that I needed to request a quote from the cancellation panel on their website for the other payment.
When I requested a cancellation quote from the panel, I was informed that only $7 would be refunded for the €147.73 ticket. This is not a voluntary cancellation on my part; the system informed me that no ticket was created by stating "payment failed." Relying on that information, I purchased another ticket. Making the customer pay for Turna.com's own system error and treating it as a standard cancellation process is unacceptable to me.
Throughout this process, I suffered both significant financial loss and wasted time. Under the transaction made in the name of Mehmet Emin Ç****** and appearing under reservation code 9zmqn6, my demand from Turna.com is a full refund of the €147.73 paid for this ticket created due to a system error, without any deductions. I am attaching screenshots of the $7 offer from the cancellation panel and the payment receipt to my complaint. Otherwise, I will file an application with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
