La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ From Jumia Smells Different—Is It Fake?

I purchased a La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ cream from Jumia and received the product on March 23, 2026.

When I got home, I compared the new cream with the Effaclar Duo+ I was already using, and I immediately noticed that the new one has a different smell, which made me uncomfortable and hesitant to use it.

I tried to check the batch/lot number, expiration date, and packaging details to identify any clear differences, but I could not determine whether there was an issue. Because of this uncertainty and the unusual smell, I have not used the new product at all.

I request that Jumia verify the authenticity and safety of this La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ cream and clearly confirm whether it is an original and safe product to use. I also ask what action will be taken if there is any issue with the product.
