I recently purchased two La Roche Posay Anthelios Untinted Mineral 50 sunscreens from two different CVS locations in California, one in Santa Barbara and one in Sonoma. Both products have an extremely unpleasant odor; as soon as I dispense the product into my hand, it smells strongly and distinctly like dog feces. This makes the product impossible for me to use. The first tube was bought at a CVS in Santa Barbara. I no longer have the box or the receipt, and I am no longer in Santa Barbara, so I cannot return this one to the store. The second tube was purchased later from a CVS in Sonoma, and it has exactly the same disgusting smell, which makes me believe this is not an isolated product issue. I plan to return the second bottle to CVS in Sonoma since I still have the box and receipt. However, I would like La Roche Posay to arrange a refund or suitable compensation for the first bottle that I can no longer return through CVS. I am willing to send the product directly to the company for inspection and quality control, as I will not be using it in this condition. I am disappointed that a product I trusted for facial sun protection has such an offensive odor, and I kindly request that this issue be reviewed and that I am assisted with a refund for the unusable first bottle.
