On March 4, 2026, I shopped at the Gratis store in Samandağ, Hatay. At checkout, I was told that I would receive a discount if I purchased products displayed behind the register. Although there were already discounts applied to items in my basket, I was encouraged to buy an additional product as if it offered extra benefits. Based on this, I purchased Kotex Ultra Long pads labeled with claims like “better body fit” and “up to 0% leakage.”
After using the product, I noticed something was off and decided to check the expiration date. That’s when I realized the product had already expired on January 24, 2026 (cz 42 a 22:46:14). Selling an expired product—especially one related to women’s health—is extremely concerning. I am genuinely worried about potential health risks I may face because of this.
I contacted Gratis through their Instagram account, explained the situation, and shared both the receipt and the product’s expiration date. Despite this, it is unacceptable for the store to act so carelessly regarding such a critical matter.
I demand that Gratis urgently inspect the Hatay Samandağ branch, remove all expired products like this from the shelves, and refund the amount I paid. Additionally, I expect proper communication regarding the health risks I may have been exposed to and for the company to show the necessary level of responsibility.
