Kiwi.com Failed to Reserve Extra Legroom Seat for My Thailand-Istanbul Flight
I booked a Thailand-Istanbul flight through Kiwi.com and purchased an extra legroom seat for added comfort. However, upon checking before boarding, I discovered that a regular seat was selected, and check-in was already completed by Kiwi. I was sent the boarding pass, leading me to believe they had reserved the seat I requested.
When I checked the Thai Airways system again, it showed a regular seat, not the extra legroom seat I paid for. Why would Kiwi complete my check-in if they didn’t fulfill my request? Their response was, "We will refund you," but this doesn't address the stress they caused me on a 10-hour flight.
They could have easily notified me via email or SMS before check-in. If I had done the check-in myself, I would have realized the mistake earlier. This experience has made it clear that Kiwi.com is unreliable for seat reservations or additional services. I strongly urge them to improve their processes and communication.
