Kerastase Shampoos Damaged My Hair After Years of Trusting the Brand and Using Sachane

I’ve been using Kerastase products exclusively for years and had always been satisfied—until recently. I always purchase through Sachane and follow their online hair analysis tool to select the most suitable shampoo for my hair needs. However, the last two Kerastase shampoos I purchased have completely ruined my hair.

First, I bought Kerastase Chronologiste Bain Régénérant for my oily scalp. It did absolutely nothing to cleanse my hair—it made the oiliness worse. Even though it was expensive, I tried to continue using it, but it left my scalp and hair feeling dirty and weighed down. I couldn’t even finish the bottle.

Hoping it was just a one-off issue, I followed the Sachane hair analysis again and purchased Kerastase Nutritive Bain Satin Riche, trusting its promise of deep hydration. I got the 500ml size because it was more affordable—but I deeply regret it. The shampoo dried my hair out completely, leaving it brittle and stiff, like I had washed it with harsh soap instead of a premium product.

I’m now stuck with a large bottle I can’t use and hair that feels more damaged than ever. I can’t afford to buy another shampoo until this one is finished, yet using it makes things worse every time. I’m extremely disappointed in a brand I used to trust blindly.
