Paying Twice for Delivery - IKEA Won’t Reschedule Without Extra Charge
I purchased delivery along with assembly and collection services in-store at IKEA on 12 August 2025. However, the delivery never took place, meaning the paid service was not performed. Despite this, I am now being asked to pay a second delivery fee in order to receive the service I have already paid for. What I request is a re-scheduled delivery at no additional cost, with confirmation of the new time slot provided via phone call to avoid missed notifications, as well as written confirmation that no extra delivery fee will be charged. According to Turkish consumer law (Law No. 6502), when a service is not properly performed, the consumer has the right to request re-performance free of charge, and any unfair terms that transfer additional costs to the consumer are invalid.
