IKEA Hemnes Bed Frame Collapsed in Less Than a Year of Normal Use

I am experiencing a serious problem with the white stained double-size 180 × 200 cm Hemnes Luröy bed frame that I purchased online from IKEA. I ordered the product on 08/06/2025 and started using it after assembly on 09/06/2025, but before even one full year passed, the product became almost completely unusable.
At first, the wooden slats of the bed started coming loose and falling out of place. Initially, I ignored the issue and repeatedly put them back one by one. Later, the rope connecting the slats completely snapped. I tied it back together myself and reinstalled every slat manually. Despite suffering from back pain, I lifted the heavy bed every day trying to fix it, but the problem continued. Eventually, I even spent extra money to buy a drill and tried using nails and different repair methods, but nothing solved the issue permanently.
Now, the bed no longer just feels unstable — the moment someone even sits on it, the entire structure collapses instantly and all the slats crash to the floor. This situation is extremely dangerous and severe enough to seriously injure or even fracture a person’s hip bone. The noise has become so disruptive that I constantly have issues with my downstairs neighbor as well.
Because I am genuinely afraid that I could fall and seriously injure myself, I am no longer sleeping in the bed that I purchased from IKEA for approximately $767, trusting the quality of the brand. Instead, I am forced to sleep on the couch in my living room “like a cat.” Despite having undergone surgery in the past, I now have to open and close a sofa bed every day and constantly deal with bedding and blankets because my bedroom set — which I bought with great difficulty and installment payments because I truly loved it — has effectively become unusable.
In addition to the structural collapse, the white wooden surfaces have also deformed and worn out in a very short time, making the product look cheap and extremely low quality. This experience is completely unacceptable both in terms of safety and the level of durability and quality I expected from IKEA.
Because the Hemnes Luröy bed frame deteriorated and became dangerous in such a short period of time, I request that the product be replaced. If possible, due to the fear, inconvenience, and safety concerns I have experienced, I would also like IKEA to offer me a gift card equivalent to the amount I paid so I can choose another product, or at minimum provide alternative product options that are safer and more durable.
