I Bought Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro for NFC Payments but the Feature Doesn’t Work

I just purchased the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro today, having previously owned the Watch Fit 3. I specifically chose this newer model because it was advertised to support NFC payments—a feature I was really excited about. Huawei’s official website clearly states that this model includes NFC and that it can be used for making payments. But the moment I received the watch, I realized the NFC functionality simply doesn’t work.

I contacted customer support immediately, only to be told that the NFC feature is not available for payments at all. Their explanation? That NFC is only usable for sharing watch faces—which makes absolutely no sense and completely contradicts the advertised claims.

I bought this watch only because of the promised NFC payment capability. I feel misled and deceived by false advertising, and I’m incredibly disappointed in a brand like Huawei for not being transparent about key features. If the NFC doesn’t support payments, don’t advertise that it does.
