Honor Refused to Replace My Defective Magic 6 Pro
I purchased an Honor Magic 6 Pro from the official Honor Türkiye store on Trendyol and paid a premium price for what was advertised as a flagship smartphone with one of the best cameras and battery life on the market. I expected outstanding performance and long-term reliability. Instead, before I had even owned the phone for a full year, the camera failed on its own, and the battery performance noticeably deteriorated. The phone has become frustrating to use in everyday situations.
On June 6, 2026, I took the device to an authorized KVK service center for inspection. After examining the phone, KVK determined that it could not be repaired and issued an official report stating that the device was eligible for replacement or refund. This report clearly confirms that the phone is defective. The real problem began afterward. Since the seller I originally purchased the phone from no longer sells Honor devices, I had to contact Honor Türkiye directly.
Honor Türkiye responded by email, as shown in the screenshot I will attach, essentially telling me that they could not help and that I should contact the seller instead. It is unacceptable for a company selling a premium flagship phone to refuse responsibility even after its own authorized service provider has officially confirmed that the product is defective. Honor promotes its products based on quality and reliability, yet when faced with a documented hardware defect, it has left me without any meaningful support.
Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering buying an Honor phone to look beyond the company's advertising and marketing claims. Spending this much money on a flagship device that develops major camera and battery failures within a year—and is officially confirmed by an authorized service center to be defective—makes no sense. If something goes wrong, you may find yourself without any company willing to take responsibility for resolving the issue.
For all of these reasons, I am requesting that Honor Türkiye immediately provide a brand-new replacement device, as required under my consumer rights. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and pursue all legal remedies available to me.
